Pepperoni & Veggie Pizzas

Tonight we threw some naan bread on the grill topped with turkey pepperoni, veggies & fresh herbs  from the garden to create homemade pizzas. I'm telling ya it's so much better than frozen or delivery pizza... And it's so easy to make! You can put any toppings you want and vary the amount of ingredients you want each time. I don't have specific measurements below, but you can get an idea of what we put on ours.


Pepperoni Pizzas


ingredients
• 2 pieces of naan bread
• shredded mozzarella cheese
• 1 clove garlic, minced
• pizza sauce
• turkey pepperoni
• 1/4 red bell pepper, chopped
• red onion, thinly sliced
• fresh oregano, chopped
• fresh basil, chopped
• olive oil, salt & pepper

directions
1. baste one side of naan with olive oil and grill for a few minutes until slightly charred. Pull off grill and on grilled side spread some sauce and add toppings.
2. scatter the cheese on top and season with salt & pepper
3. grill pizzas until cheese is melted and bottom of bread is slightly charred.
4. EAT.

If you like extra crispy crust, you can leave the pizzas on the grill slightly longer so the bread comes out crunchier. You can also make these pizzas in the oven, but grilling this time of year just seems appropriate.
